Thank you for the great article. I was in the US during that time but I don't remember the incident. I just saw the Netflix documentary and I found your article when I wondered why there was no movie about it. Such a pity that you threw away the materials. You could have made it a book! I still think it should be a movie.

Thanks for this article. Watched How to Rob a Bank and really enjoyed it. I thought Scott Scurlock looked a lot like Neal Cassidy.

This is amazing! I wrote a little bit about the Hollywood Bandit in my bank robbery book, but wow... had no idea you were so involved in this story. Thank you for sharing.

I knew you'd written about Scott in your bank robbery book! I can't believe we never talked about this. We'll have to remedy that, over drinks.

How cool that you almost made a movie with Charles Frank. He and his wife Susan met while they were on All My Children. He played Dr. Jeff Martin and she played Mary Kennicott. I also watched Under Paris which I should have known was not going to end happily. I actually looked it up afterwards and yes, there are sharks in the Thames River.

It was a fun experience. And I got to hear some AMC stories when I had lunch with the two of them.

Loved this, VK! My favorite Substack offering from you, so far. Fascinating to read about your personal journey to tell Scurlock's story. Thanks, it made my morning.
